 Critique SURVEILLANCE (2008)
Avis rédigé par Daniel   |  le .   |  Note : 2
Insanity might run in the Lynch family, but talent apparently doesn't. There is a post-apocalyptic feel to this movie, cops behave like thugs and psychopaths, (The entire squad seems to have been recruited in a mental institution). After a slow and mediocre start, it turns ugly, for what becomes a string of extravagant and disjointed flurries of outlandish behaviours and grotesque violence. When daddy Lynch knows our demons, Jennifer purely appeals to our psychotic side.
Her only saviour, perhaps, comes in the form of an odd and borderline-over the top performance by Pullman. All in all, Jennifer Chambers Lynch shows an apathetic approach towards bloodshed and a complete inability to tie scenes together.
