No, no at all Lionel, I was merely correcting myself on the subject of the addiction of "the lost weekend". In case someone thought it was about gambling.

daniel veut avoir le dernier mot on dirait !

"The Lost Weekend", is not about Gambling addiction but about alcohol addiction.

On that same subject, I'm about to see California Split by Altman. I got the film a few days ago and it's supposed to be fairly good.

I haven't seen The Lost Week-end. According to me, the best film about gambling addiction is ... The Gambler by Karel Reisz. A really must see if you haven't yet.

And why is "Even Money" under "Policier"? O-K, I'm finished complaining!

Daniel  le 12/11/2009 à 12:13

Actually, if you want to see a brilliant movie about addiction, watch "The Lost Weekend" from Billy Wilder. I've seen it last night, for the 1st time, cinema-making at its best!

Yeah right! Well, l if that's makes you happy!!!

Manu  le 12/11/2009 à 10:53

All right, Dan. I just got your point here : you liked the film but you just want Kim Basinger to enter the infamous C10FA (Cinéfamilia 10 Flop Artists).

Sorry lads, I know you're going to hate me for annihilating your personal favourites.
I'm just expressing what comes from the heart.
